Biography
Arash Rezaei is a senior, reputable, and long-standing technical instructor at YMAA Iran, with over two decades of continuous presence in the field of internal martial arts education. He has played a prominent role in consolidating and enhancing the quality of traditional Tai Chi Chuan instruction in Iran. As one of the technical pillars of YMAA in the country, he has consistently served—as instructor, judge, curriculum designer, and quality supervisor—in a structured, tradition-focused capacity to train successive generations of students and instructors.
His teaching approach is firmly grounded in traditional Yang-style Tai Chi Chuan, including Qigong, Chin Na, martial applications, and Tai Chi Sword. By integrating the authentic principles of traditional transmission, scientific precision in movement analysis, and a focus on both mental and physical cultivation, he offers a comprehensive and in-depth educational model. His mastery of the martial, therapeutic, and functional aspects of these systems—combined with deep insight into body mechanics and energy structure—has established his instruction as a benchmark for balancing authenticity with practical effectiveness.
Formally, Rezaei holds a 5th Dan black belt awarded by the Iran Wushu Federation, is a licensed national coach, and an internationally certified Tai Chi Chuan instructor recognized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF). He also holds Grade 1 certification from YMAA International, and as a senior member of the YMAA Iran Technical Education Committee, plays a central role in the development, planning, and implementation of the organization’s official training programs.
His track record in attending, supporting, and leading specialized national and international training camps—featuring senior YMAA masters such as Grandmaster Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming, Master Pedro Rodrigues, Master Robert Wąs, and other international representatives—stands as a testament to his respected and professional standing at the international level.
